November meeting

‘Energy storage’ with Clive Tomlinson

Renewable energy can’t always be generated at the times that we want it. Energy storage is an obvious solution, but one that’s not been used as much as one might expect. Clive will introduce some of the opportunities and challenges of energy storage, and will talk about some of his team’s recent work in making energy storage more useable, by making it a little bit smarter.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and works as a Chartered Engineer for Swanbarton Limited. He’ll be speaking, however, as a private individual: it’s more fun, that way.

Monday 19th November, 7.00 for 7.30pm
