Natural Flood Management and Beavers with Chris Jones
Chris is a Cornish farmer who attended our meeting last year when we heard from representatives of the environment agency about natural flood management. Chris offered to return to give us a talk about the work on his farm with beavers. His local village has been subject to flooding on many occasions and this is getting worse. With a view to using beavers as a means of natural flood management he began to work on bringing them to his farm in 2014 and achieved this last year. The animals have been working very hard ever since and Chris will come along to tell us what they have achieved. This should be a fascinating meeting.
