Monday 17 February – discussion meeting

Our challenge will be to come up with ideas on how to communicate the climate emergency in ways that motivate people to action on the scale needed rather than turn them away feeling powerless. There will be a couple of short introductory talks.  A number of local councillors have been invited and have agreed to attend. The format will be for people to sit at tables and discuss a number of questions, and then each table will share their main points.  Can we see a positive future for our town and county in a zero carbon future? If so, how do we talk about it?
The venue is Priory Barn on Newtown BA15 1NQ. The meeting will start at 6.30, and food (bread, cheese, hummus etc) and hot drinks will be provided during the event. Please Note – In order not to waste food, we need to know how many people to expect so please email if you plan to attend.
