Farming Today, from Ros Edwards

Radio 4 has had really interesting subject matter over the last few weeks focusing on localised food chains, water management (including how farmers are working together in Wiltshire to reduce flooding through land management), beef, the fishing industry, flour, who will pick our fruit and veg, trade talks, will the lockdown permanently change our relationship with food, duetting with nightingales and the impacts of the lockdown on the dairy industry “A million litres of milk were thrown away during the middle two weeks of April”. It all gives a real insight into the challenges coming from so many directions – fascinating stuff at 15 minutes a programme.
