A success for Avon needs Trees, the Big Climate Fightback Fund, and what’s in your garden live lessons for schools.   COP26 postponed until 2021.

Avon Needs Trees: Nikki Jones reports that they now have enough funds to buy Hazeland. It is an area with coppiced hazel, water features and open areas where trees can be planted. She thanks CFB for our support.

The Woodland Trust is launching a Big Climate Fightback Fund. The plan is to create a reservoir of funds that councils can bid for to support local communities to deliver their tree projects.

Field Studies Council have resources to help you identify what’s in your garden along with activities. On April 20th they are showing live lessons on Geography and Science for 7- 11yr olds, 11-14 yr olds as well as older group, and members of the public can watch too. The first KS2 lesson is on Soil exploration.
