We have set up a solar PV “bulk buy” scheme to encourage and make it easier and cheaper for householders to install solar pv. We have done this by identifying an installer we have confidence in, who has a good track record in our area, and who we keep in close touch with for quality control and maximum financial benefit. This takes the pain out of selecting an installer because we have done all the hard legwork for you. We asked many installers all the questions that you will probably want to ask and selected our favoured installer after face to face meetings.
The installer is: www.southernsolar.co.uk and the deal is that they will give householders a discount of 5% off the cost of installation (or £500 if this is greater).
Southern Solar are proving to be very effective and reliable and we are receiving lots of positive feedback.
To date there have been 24 installations under this scheme with 100% positive feedback, generating a forecast of nearly 60MW megawatt hours per year, saving more than 30 tons of carbon.
