In October 2011 a 5 megawatt, ground mounted solar farm was installed at Kingston Farm, part of The Hall Estate. The installation covers around 35 acres and consists of 24,000 solar panels. Although this is not a CFB project, it was made possible because of the town’s support and strong community commitment towards carbon neutrality.
Whilst most of the energy generated goes into the National Grid, 100 KWh feeds directly into the Anthony Best Dynamics Factory on the Estate.
