Community involvement group

If we're going to solve the challenges of climate change we need to involve everyone and encourage them all to play their part in some way.

To do this we are working in a variety of ways with local councils, schools, businesses, churches and other community organisations.

On the 3rd Monday of the month, we get together, normally with a speaker and usually at the Quaker Meeting House, Whiteheads Lane, BoA, BA15 1JU. Please check the Calendar for up-to-date information about venues and topics.

The monthly meeting starts at 7.30 p.m. and finishes between 9.00 and 9.30. We keep everyone up to date with the latest CFB news and there is plenty of opportunity to chat and meet people before and afterwards.

At Christmas, we have a festive get together and our AGM is held in August.

At least once a year we hold a feedback meeting to review how things are going and give everyone the chance to have their say on the direction CFB should be taking.

All our meetings are well attended and open to all and we welcome donations towards the cost of hall hire.

Some recent visiting speakers' topics:

population matters; electric cars; wind power; water issues; food waste & biogas production; bees; rail travel; sustainable building design and eating sustainably.
